I, Pelle de Graaf, am an individual app developer and the creator of WildDex. Privacy is a fundamental right, and I take the protection of your data seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how WildDex ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your information.

WildDex is designed with privacy as a core principle and does not:

• Track your usage or behavior
• Upload or transmit your photos to any server
• Use analytics or telemetry services

• Use cookies or tracking technologies

All image processing and AI recognition is performed locally on your device. Your photos and wildlife discoveries never leave your iPhone.

Data Storage

The following data is stored exclusively locally on your device:

• Wildlife photos you capture within the app
• Your wildlife discovery history
• App settings and preferences
• Achievement progress
• Location data (if you grant permission)

All data remains on your device and is never uploaded to external servers or cloud storage.

Permissions

WildDex requires the following permissions to function:

Camera Access

Required to capture photos of wildlife. Photos are processed locally for AI recognition and stored only on your device.

Photo Library Access (Optional)

Used to save your wildlife photos to your device's photo library, only if you choose to enable this feature in settings.

Location Services (Optional)

Used to tag your wildlife discoveries with location information. This data is stored locally and helps you remember where you spotted each animal. You can disable location services at any time.

These permissions are used solely for the app's core functionality and wildlife discovery features.

AI Recognition

WildDex uses Apple's Vision framework to provide AI-powered animal recognition. All AI processing happens locally on your device using on-device machine learning. No images are sent to external servers for analysis.

Data Security

Since all data remains on your device:

• Your data is protected by your device's security features
• No data transmission means no interception risk
• You have complete control over your data
• You can delete all app data by deleting the app

Children's Privacy

WildDex is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children or any other users. All functionality is local to the device.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy if future versions of the app introduce new features. Any changes will be reflected in an updated policy with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

• Access: All your data is accessible within the app
• Deletion: You can delete individual entries or all data by deleting the app
• Control: You control all permissions and settings
• Export: Your photos are saved to your device's photo library (if enabled)
